The Only Syrians Obama Doesn't Allow

Once the overwhelming majority of the Syrian population, Christians now constitute about 5% due to genocide and ethnic cleansing by Muslims over centuries.

Thirty-six year old Babylonia was a hairdresser. She is a mother of two and married to a Christian fighter who encouraged her to step out and take up arms also. Unlike the 7th Century un-reformed Muslims of ISIS she fights against, she and her husband believe women aren't "good for nothing except housekeeping and make-up."

Babylonia, her husband, and many other Christians fear another genocide will take place if ISIS seizes control of their homes. It was just such a genocide carried out by the Ottoman Empire in 1915 that inspired many in this group of some 50 Christian women to take up arms against ISIS after seeing the crimes against humanity already committed by the Obama-coddled terrorist group.

Twenty-four year old Thabirta Samir agrees. “I used to work for a Syriac cultural association, but now I take pleasure in working in the military field. I’m not afraid of ISIS, and we will be present in the coming battles against the terrorists.”

And eighteen year old Ornia courageously echos her elder peers: "I was afraid of the noise of cannons firing, but the fear quickly went away. I would love to be on the front line in the fight against the terrorists."

Yet even as war wages and this tiny minority - a remnant of a once-great Syrian culture - fights on bravely, one has to ask why so few Syrian Christians are being allowed to enter the United States as refugees even as tens of thousands of Islamic Syrians of questionable background are brought in by the Obama administration completely unvetted.

Obama claims that (for the first time ever) having a religious test for refugees is an immoral restriction. So why does the administration continue to turn away Christian Syrians who perhaps more than anyone face imminent persecution, brutal enslavement, and extermination. While religious tests for refugees have always by virtue of common sense existed, it seems instead Obama wishes to carve out an exception for Syrian Muslims while enforcing it to turn away Christians who need sanctuary the most.

Maybe it's just that they are just too courageous and make our coward-in-chief uncomfortable. As these brave warriors fight daily with Kalashnikovs, one doubts Obama in his mom jeans and bicycle helmet could even muster the strength to lift one off the ground. After all, as "Christian females take on ISIS in Syria... military aged Muslim males [are] 'fleeing' by 100s of thousands into Europe." Obama can probably identify with that a little bit more.

Ironically, while Muslim males (many of whom probably Islamists and terrorists, some possibly connected to ISIS) continue to migrate to Europe and North Amerca, many of these highly-endangered Christians continue to stay and fight.

It can't help but lead us to questions about others who seek to immigrate illegally to the United States and elsewhere in the West. Why couldn't you stay and make your own homeland better when, unlike these Christians, your lives weren't even at stake? How could it have been such an emergency that you broke our laws to enter the country when it seems from all evidence your motivation was simply a raised level of comfort.

While Obama sends his two daughters to an elite private school (exempt from Michelle's school lunch war, by the way) and attends celebrity-filled galas, Babylonia's two daughters Limar and Gabriella go to bed every night hungry and alone, praying for their mother and father now locked in a fight for their very lives.

It is sad but must be said again and again that liberals don't care about anyone - even children - who get in the way of their cynical materialist agenda that values things over people. #LiberalValues means throwing everyone under the bus who gets in your way. In this case, Christians are public enemy #1 and it doesn't matter to a lib whether those Christians are grown are still children.

As a literal war on women wages in Syria, one suspects Obama is rooting for the other side.

But let's remember to pray for these Syrian Christians as we all go to sleep in our comfy beds tonight. And remember that Syria - like us - was once majority Christian and unless we wake up and get involved, this could be our children's children's future, too.
